Match Report:

The wheels have well and truly come off!! 1-0 up again and ship 3 goals second half. Never got going lack of energy as the boys are now going out clubbing not a good recipe! So league slipped away for a second year running disappointing considering we have been  leading the table practically all of last year!
Next up Semis Cup against Woodmansterne hopefully the lads won't go out this coming Friday night?!

Not our best performance today, just looked out of sorts, off the pace and lost our shape way to easily. Not played a game in 5 weeks so hopefully we can just put it down to that and get back to normal next week. Good goal from Kie Apostolou but when you concede 5 it’s just a consolation. Didn’t give a man of the match this week but hopefully we can bounce back against the same oppo next week! lots of basics to work on Thursday mainly fitness and shape 👍

Surrey Cup

Top of the SYL Premier vs Top of the Championship.
Unfortunately we didn’t play our best today having not played for 5 weeks. Dorking were quicker to every 2nd ball and just had that extra bit of quality. For long spells we matched them though and should have got an important equalised just before the break.. Focus now is to Win the League and mix it with the Prem teams next season!
MOM was Charlie for another great display in Goal

After a 1-1 draw last week against the same side, which felt like a loss. The boys were instructed that sometimes when conditions are bad or the surface it boggy you need to do the sensible things. Pass your way out of trouble, clear the ball long if in danger, get your shots off when your balanced and you can and stick together as a team as mistakes will be made.
We started really well with a mixture of individual skill and some encouraging passing play, and ultimately benefitted as Chris cut inside two players and converted, firing a fierce shot low and hard across the outstretched Walton keeper.  We continued to comfortably dominate with Reece holding firm in the centre of the park and our back line relaxing on the ball. 25 mins in Kian made a darting run down the left and was taken out in the box…he jumped up dusted off the boots and buried the resulting penalty.
At half time they got a new player in and we lost Kian, we reshuffled the pack and with several changes we became a little unsteady despite Ewan, Willem and Eddy in particular making some positive runs and getting crosses and shots in. With 10 to go Walton knocked on the door harder and we failed to clear our lines and conceded. A nervy 10mins followed with a lot of scrappy football as the pitch tore up more, but the boys dug out the win, not least thanks for a finally minute strong one on one save from goalkeeper Zac.
MOTM Reece for a superb and importantly intelligent performance 👍🏼

Match Report:

Very proud of the second half performance against a good Esher side.
Down to the bare 11 players again and 2 down at half time the team fought hard and outplayed Esher to pull it back to 2-1.
Heads didnt drop and playing on a pudding of a pitch, which tired legs out didnt lesson the effort.
Haven't had a full squad once this season which puts at us a disadvantage every week.

U12 Athletic 2-1 away win v SZ Utd, A superb result from the boys today with strong performances from every single player against a decent team who beat us 2-1 last week.  Managed to hang on after dealing with a lot of SZ pressure in the last 15 mins.  The win gets us back above them and up to 4th in the league.  MoM could have gone to a number of players, and after spilling the first goal our keeper Zak then made at least 4 top saves to keep us in the game and every player said after the game that Zak fully deserved it.  Lots of positives to take away today and with a few players out those who played should all be proud with the team performance.
