U7 Youth come away Champions on an away day to Crawley in the Chesworth Rovers Easter Tournament

What a day for the young moles who bring home Silverware to be displayed in the CLUBHOUSE

U7 youth travelled to Horsham today for the  Chesworth Rovers 5 a side. We picked the tournament specifically to face some different opposition and see how the boys fared.

8 teams in our age group. Round robin with everyone playing everyone in the group, then everyone through to quarters. We won all 7 group games and managed to get some good rotation in. One game in particular where Harrison (our usual gk) played up front and scored both in a 2-0 win.

Our closest call came in the semi final, which went to pens, but 3 out of 3 saw us go through.

Some of the football played by the boys was excellent. They really stood out with their ability to pass the ball. The best example was in the final. We had kick off. A fantastic move saw 4 great passes and a goal before the oppo had touched the ball. And we dominated the game from there.

Excellent performances all round and lots of contributions defending, attacking, passing, scoring.

A number of us then went on to watch Crawley Town V Doncaster. Game was a bit pedestrian after the morning but boys enjoyed it! Also got to meet the mascot and team captain, Dion Crawley.

A great day all round 👍
